Ancient's Ascent was too much for you
The Drangon slid through you and you were lost

Pretty sure you will respawn in time...like so many others

RIP Lydia. I needed a soul for enchanting.
RIP Jordis the Sword-Maiden. Hopefully, you're fine with a Daedric Lord possessing your body.
RIP Jenassa. I needed another soul for enchanting.
RIP Faendal. Again, I needed another soul.
RIP Hireling in Windhelm inn. Guess why I killed him.
Rest WITHOUT Peace Ulfric Stormcloak. I wish you weren't resistant to Soul Trap, so I could have you rot in the Soul Cairn, like all Stormcloak supporters deserve.

Sigrid, smith Alvor's wife. Seriously, leave dragon killing to dragonborn and the guards, at least they get paid for it and are better geared.

RIP Edda.

She helped me kill Brynjolf, but died in the process.

It's a damn shame, she's the best hobo in the game.

RIP Gregor

You were a stupid Nord, as far as Nords go, and not worthy enough to carry a master Bosmer's gear like you did for me, but now that I have to haul all that valuable crap back to Solitude on my own with no horse, you're definitely missed.

RIP Gat and Pavo. Ironic, is it not: you guys were far safer as refugees in Left Hand Mine while the Forsworn had possession of Kolskeggr. Soon as Cassie cleared the goatskins out of the place, the two of you quickly found out the crossroads are a natural dragon-magnet.

RIP Hod and Gerdur. You two have decimated the forest around Riverwood long enough. Hist-Tongue the Argonian druid would have preferred to enrage you into killing each other, but striking you down in righteous self defense served the same purpose. ("I swear, officer, I don't know what got into the woman, she came running at me with a dagger all out of the blue! My friend Derkeethus here can testify that I really had no other choice .")

RIP Faendal. You, a Bosmer, of all people should have known better than to hack trees to pieces for money. Tongue felt a little bad for your death when he learned that you had mentioned him in your will, so he passed your inheritance on to Camilla Valerius (=snuck it into one of the barrels in Riverwood Trader), figuring you'd approve. (She didn't deserve it though, she actually tried to flirt with Tongue while your corpse was still floating down the river, the strumpet.)

Also, alas, RIP Hjoromir, a potentially Interesting NPC who will never fulfill his potential now. You were collateral damage, so to speak. You're the only one of the bunch whose death Tongue genuinely regrets, you seemed a decent young man who just had the bad luck to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. A pity.

Henrica the chicken, killed by those goddamn cultists
MIRAAK shall DIE! And shall feel my WRATH!!! On the day of Miraak's death we shall drink all our mead with Iona. She was Thrown to the river in Riften so she could be watching over me in her afterlife.
See you in afterlife Henrica :|

RIP Balbus. Died in the same spot as always. You really ought to stop hanging around between Helgen and the Standing Stones.
RIP Drahff, Hewnon Black-Skeever, and Gian the Fist. You won't be missed.
RIP Jyrik Gauldurson. Dead again.
RIP Susanna the Wicked. Elda Early-Dawn is in denial about your fate.
RIP [Windhelm serial killer]. No comment.
RIP Grelod the Kind. Killed by a frostbite spider, apparently.
RIP Angrenor Once-Honored. Again, the game decided to kill you for unknown reasons. I had nothing to do with it. But it's a nice coincidence, since I imagine that the two characters in whose game you have died inhabit the same Skyrim, so little consistencies between the characters' games are appreciated.
RIP All three Dark Brotherhood hostages. I doubt that Astrid was going to let any of you go, or you wouldn't have been there in the first place.
RIP Various edible wildlife that have provided fresh raw meat for my Bosmer.

RIP Dwemare, Marilyn II's packhorse-cum-follower-mount in Dwemer horse armour, incinerated by friendly fire from Chara the Black while fighting a vampire in the forests of Falkreath hold. OK, Chara, I realize mistakes happen in battle and it was difficult to see clearly what you were firing at in the man-high underwood, but please do remember that horses cost money and septims don't grow on trees. (Besides, Dwemer horse armour is bloody rare even in Markarth; it'll take a while for Dwemare to respawn in all her glory - be grateful if I don't make you walk on foot until then!)

RIP Vendil Severin. You had a lot on your mind when you wore your santa hat, but my Dwemer crossbow bolt ate right through your enchanted Chitin armor. Guess you won't be killing any of my friends today or any time soon. I'll miss the hat but not the man.

Farewell to Sifnar Ironkettle. And by "fare well" I mean "When Sithis finally manages to stick enough portions of your dismembered spirit together for you to say any words, tell him I sent you screaming into the Void because you were the least important person here."

That ought to teach ya' for hiring those thugs.

Saddest post from me on this thread in a long time:

RIP Meeko, killed by vampires in Dimhollow Crypt, defending your mistress with canine loyalty unto death. You followed at Marilyn's heels for so long it will feel very strange to play on without you. Your death left a big yawning hole in her heart... and when after a lot of mourning the day will come when she's ready to take another dog follower, will it be a Dawnguard husky or a deathhound? Let's just hope her better part hasn't died with you...

^Oh God(dess) that sucks! Good reason not to let Steam Workshop manage your mods in the future...

Rest in peace, Torvar. Alas, your weakness to the bottle did you in. Too drunk to win the fight against a Briarheart and his troll. At least you told good jokes.

RIP Bran, killed by the ghosts of dead dragon cultists in Forelhost. You couldn't replace Meeko, but for a short while you filled the dog-shaped hole in Marilyn's heart.

RIP Jean LaPierre, modded Dark Brotherhood assassin with a dual personality, slain by Rahgot's thugs in the last room of the same dungeon. You were fun to adventure with, wish it could have gone on, but you died defending your Listener. May your two souls be united in the Void.

RIP Uthgerd the Unbroken.
You attacked me in the Bannered Mare (probably because I had a bounty in the Reach... damn Imperials... playing a song does NOT equal assault), and I, not wanting to fight you, ran back out. You followed me and were promptly crossbow'd to death by the Stormcloak guards.

RIP, the Aspiring Mage guy. You were already dead when I found you. Thanks for the free Staff.

It would have been ironic if I had used your own Staff on your corpse, but I'm a firm believer in leaving dead things as dead as possible.

R.I.P. Riverwood. While "Run for Your Lives" saved all named NPCs, the four dragons that destroyed the village killed all three of the Stormcloak guards and every single animal. Gerdur, who insisted on fighting the dragons with that iron dagger of hers, by some miracle survived.
Three dragon skeletons (all of them poison dragons from "Enhanced Mighty Dragons") now lay around Riverwood. I don't know where that Storm Dragon's skeleton ended up.
After a lengthy search I finally found two of the three guards, and dropped all my 100 blue mountain flowers around them. And wrote a long "In Memoriam" in my in-game journal.

RIP Angrenor Once-Honored. That was the first dragon attack within the walls of Windhelm for me. Apparently it was the first for you, too.

So, tell me: How does it look from inside the belly of ol' Grumpy there? I bet that old war-wound seems like a paper-cut in comparison now.

RIP Bersi Honey-Hand and Edda, caught in the crossfire between Marilyn, a trigger-happy follower, a Vigilant of Stendarr and a Riften guard. I didn't even get who killed whom, it all happened so fast - we'd just stepped out of Honeyside when suddenly pandemonium erupted and the next second there were four corpses strewn about. Oops.
