RIP Hod, Sigrid, and Stump. Ajiran would have stopped Zora had she not been in such a state of shock at her former follower's behavior.

Just in time to save this thread from falling under Arch-Mage Traven's ban on necromancyposting:

RIP Rorik and Lemkil. You could just have run and leave that saber-cat to me, you know? Anyway, thanks for the keys to your respective houses; I'm sure they're full of valuables you don't need anymore.

RIP Kael's horse #1
Kael was being stupid and rode right into a bandit camp, thinking he could use their bridge without bothering to fight. Unfortunately they got stuck and Kael was forced to dismount. The sad part is that he doesn't know whether he was the one to kill his horse or the bandits. He was swinging that mace of his awfully close after all.

RIP Kael's horse #2
The idiot decided to jump down from a cliff. The horse died. Kael didn't. Well, he was certain they both would have survived the fall since it didn't look that bad. Apparently he was wrong.

Thankfully, Kael now has Arvak so I think Skyrim's horses are finally safe.

All the Orcs, including the chief fell to a dragon attack.
They must be especially tastey. My Khajiit, reloaded and everyone is fine now.

Creeper, I have a feeling Kael would get along nicely with Zora Fair-Child (from Interesting NPCs). Up to now she's managed to wreck twice 6000,- septims' worth of good horseflesh by shoddy riding in rocky terrain. I was determined to let her jog along on foot for the rest of her days, but then one of the dead horses miraculously respawned at Whiterun stables (still marked as mine), so I let her keep that, and it seems she's learned her lesson *crosses fingers*.

Haha, sounds like a good match indeed XD. But those poor Skyrim horses! At least they both seem to have made progress with her actually learning and him having a horse he can get killed as many times as he wants without any real consequences.

RIP Asta and Sond. Froa took the Eldergleam sap with Nettlebane for the Gildergreen's benefit (and because Danica told her to -- she'd never question a priestess!), resulting in the deaths of two fellow worshipers of Kynareth. She disposed of the vile Nettlebane in the most remote location she could find in hopes that no one would find it again.

RIP Durak. Lord Harkon's goonies paid the price for your untimely death. At least you died with honor serving the Dawnguard, right? You were the only Orc Felina actually liked. Thanks for spreading the good word about her helpful and generous spirit to the Orc Strongholds. She'll be welcomed warmly there. :Twisted Evil:

RIP Lynly (Svidi) Star-Sung and Wilhelm. Whatever glitch possessed the two of you to leave your inn and run off into the night in combat mode I'll never know; searching next morning I found your corpses lying on either side of a dead cave bear near Honeystrand Cave. The Vilemyr Inn will be oddly quiet without you two*. On the bright side, examining Svidi's corpse I somehow magically learned about her true identity, which she had hitherto denied; now I wonder if there's an option to lie to Sibbi B-B and tell him I killed her for him? Also Marilyn looks rather pretty in barkeep's clothes.

*Or maybe not - with the innkeeper gone, it seems like Bassianus, Jofthor and Qa'Dojo (from INPC mod) are having a permanent private party in there; at least I couldn't help imagining they had rummaged through Wilhelm's cellar and opened his best Black-Briar Reserve when I saw them sitting there all by themselves.

RIP Kematu. I will always side with the helpless lady over the dangerous group of mercenaries, no matter who is lying.

^Me too... especially when I'm playing a Bosmer who was raised to support the Aldmeri Dominion. First time I killed Kematu because I believed him.

Rest in forever peace: Beem-Ja and Salma.

Beem, you died because you were an idiot. You can't win a magical battle with the Altmer Dovahkiin. And Salma, Sylmirie is convinced that you knew all along Beem was going to turn around and try to kill her. An unforgivable offense which cost your life instead of hers.

RIP Talsgar the Wanderer. Travelling alone in the wild unarmoured really isn't the brightest of ideas ... especially when you run into Marilyn with no witnesses anywhere near. Thanks for the crossbow and enchanted bolts*.

RIP Medresi Dran. That trap you blithely rushed into spared me the trouble of killing you myself - or did you really think I'd share the treasure with you? Only it turned out there wasn't that much of a treasure in the first place, unless you were an archaeologist and interested in those strange walls covered with what looks like dragon graffiti that I've been discovering all over Skyrim. I kinda wish I knew what they're saying, they certainly don't speak to me. [/roleplaying, non-Dovahkiin playthrough]

RIP Gerda and Fianna. Sorry, but what were you doing out of bed in the middle of the night while I was plundering Dragonsreach? I couldn't afford to leave any potential witnesses alive. Nothing personal, just being professional, 'kay?

Last but by far not least, RIP Irileth. I only meant to pick your pockets, but when I saw what you were wearing** and realized that I would never be able to get it off you while you were alive your death warrant was sealed. Besides I'm not doing the main quest anyway with this character, so I won't miss you. [/OOC]

(Thanks by the way to you, Whiterun guards, who let me go for a moderate bribe and looked the other way, letting me nick your arrows while your back was turned. I love you all.)

R.i.p. stable owner in Windhelm. I went to buy a horse and you were out, youve been out for a long time now, so youve either moved or been killed, probably by a dragon. I think it was the latter, so r.i.p.

Well, it seems those vampires sometimes choose their targets rather well.

RIP Nimriel
Pelagia farm
Unfortunate victim of mod testing since the spawned Deathlord decided to one-shot her. Well, who asked you to attack it? The funny thing was that Cyril got inheritance letter. Just because he let you take his dropped Daedric boots.

RIP Lydia
Labyrinthian

Trekking through unknown ruins, Lydia was struck down by a frost troll. Kael felt personal responsibility, because he chose the path. Kael cannot stand witnessing the abandoned state of the Nordic dead. Each and every tomb and memorial, looted and in shambles without a caretaker. But he understood why...

In the midst of the blizzard, Kael was able to drag Lydia's corpse into a nearby shelter in the ruins. But his fingers and face were numb, his joints going stiff in the cold. He ran for shelter of his own. Before leaving, he ripped up one of his cloaks, wrapped her in it, and threaded a hawk feather into the bindings. "May you find all that you sought." Kael saluted his loyal housecarl, and had to leave her in the ruin. He barely got to Morthal through that storm.

RIP Lil Dova Jr.. of all the Rieklings I have met, you were by far were the strongest. With your seemingly endless use of 5 Daedric arrows and all the battles we won... of all the foes we slayed.. but you were no match against that dragon you bravely charged after.. </3

Aranea Ienith -

I lost her after she was following me. I forget who I was battling, but by the time I realized she was not following me anymore, it was too late. I didn't want to go back and load up a previous save, as it was probably a good half hour or more that I had gone without saving (my mistake on that one). I did end up finding her body in the dungeon I was in (forget which one I was in). I ended up placing some flowers that I was carrying for potions as a memorial.

I can't think of any others that I lost.

RIP Stalleo - you really shouldn't have called Meeko "stupid dog" right after he helped me and Raynes clear your stupid fort for you. I rewarded the brave canine by feeding him your corpse piecemeal. (And no, that is not gross because I'm a woodelf and we're 1. friendly with animals and 2. pretty relaxed about the consumption of humanoid meat.)

RIP Uthgerd. Only Talos knows what came over you when you attacked Svasen Lion-Mane out of nowhere inside the tavern. And you tried to kill his dog, so he had to put you down. He would have let it go if it had not been for that.
