I'm pretty sure it's in the Rift. That's what the little bit of plant is telling me.
Well... That and I did look earlier. I'm just not saying where since I don't really feel like hunting down another image right now.

Found it! Boulderfall Cave in the Rift, inhabited by those pesky necromancers.

Good job. Have an e-cookie.

Also, curse you. I picked the most generic place ever, and you got me. Why does everyone have an ungodly knowledge of Skyrim's geography?

Three days to post a pic.

It was the reddish plant; I knew it was in the Rift. Also I knew it was either a cave or a mine, and there's only so many of them with doors.

...We can do an interior, right?

Click for bigger; there's a significant clue somewhere near the middle that you can't see well at low res. (I suppose the compass is also a clue.)

Yeah, we can do interiors.
The first one I did was a shot of the plunge of Kagrenzel. This one, just without the text. I'm not entirely certain why I put that on my desktop background rotation, but it's there.

I'd actually say interiors are better. Unless you've picked something that isn't generic, they're often harder to figure out.

Gotta say I'm curious what that significant clue in the middle of the picture is supposed to be, because I can't find any. It's not the sneak crosshair, is it?

I was wondering that too. I thought maybe there's a tripwire? (Or a lever, but I think it might be a bit of plant).

I think it's the dark object behind the roots that likelolwhat was referring to.

Edit:
It's Snapleg Cave.

Finally, some Morrowind! While I'm sure I know it, I'm going to hold my answer since taking a screen grab and posting tends to be more difficult for me than it seems it should.

I think it took me a few minutes to grab that shot. Sapphire of Traveling (from a house mod I can't remember the name of) to a town, then run off in a random direction until the ruin was in sight. I ran around it a few times to find a decent angle of it. That was the lazy method for grabbing a screenshot.

After doing nothing but Oblivion and Skyrim for ages, I felt like doing something else. Morrowind is the only option considering it's the only other ES game I have (no ESO yet). I should probably play it more often, but... Eh. I've never been able to come up with a decent character for it. I can't play for long if I don't like the story for the character I've created.

So, is anybody going to guess or shall I just say the name of the ruin?

Gah, all Morrowind ruins look the same.

May as well, no one's gonna get it.

Somebody else is going to have to post an image, then, because I don't have anymore.
And I doubt I'm going to do Morrowind again, either. Nobody bothered to guess.

The ruin is Ashalmawia, just outside of Ald Velothi.

Is it... Fana... something? I can't see it well enough.

EDIT: Fanacasecul! That's the one I'm thinking of.

I have another one ready to go if this is too much (or too little, as it were).

Yeah that's a laughably terrible image to post. You seriously think someone is going to recognize a single few trees with no defining feature?

I'm siding with Linkuya here. I mean... Seriously. I've put over 3250 or so hours into Skyrim over the years and I wouldn't be able to recognize that. There's nothing there to recognize. When there's that little to go on, I can't be bothered to guess. Or even look for it, really.

There's a line that goes from reasonably hard to overly generic. That line has been crossed.

Yes, I do not find anything distinct to latch onto there, so please choose another one.

Here's a way to think of how the game is supposed to work, if the location is nameless and lacks unique features, it reasonably cannot be defined and named here.

I'm sorry everyone. I figured that out today. I need to find the alternate; it's around here somewhere.

Actually, I'll pop into the game and take a new, less ridiculous one. Knowing me, I probably deleted the alternate by accident.

EDIT: I appropriated a shot for another project that was hanging out on my harddrive; lucky for me, I had named it using the cell coordinates so I can get back there.

A dirt path in the Reach... Is there any particular unique location near there or are you giving us another generic one?
