Do you think the name "The Bee and Barb" is a reference to The Real Barenziah, Part IV?

Is the name of the inn in Riften a reference to The Real Barenziah, Part IV?

Initial discussion

Ongoing discussion on the subject

As I mentioned in the ongoing discussion, if Bethesda was making a reference to TRB4, they were doing it for you loremasters out there. So, what say you, loremasters?

That would be late second era Riften, 700 ish years, plus or minus a few decades?

The inn could have existed and gone unnamed in TRB4, it's only 700 years or so. Plenty of buildings last that long.

I wouldn't call myself a loremaster, but it seems like a pretty reasonable conclusion to me.

And, CBR, as MinorEdits points out in the discussion, he's not talking necessarily about the inn being named by its owner to make the reference, but also about the possibility of an Easter Egg of sorts, just a developer joke that you can get if you connect the dots.
