Something that popped into my head.

I was thinking about the Chimeri and how they got turned into the Dunmer when it hit me. How did Azura manage to curse an entire races natural biology? I mean the daedra play around with the world a lot for various reasons but never have they managed to do soemthing so powerful.

If the daedra can do stuff like this whats stopping them from causing complete chaos whenever they like? I think the answer is that only Azura is powerful enough to do this, but why is the question? what makes her so different from the rest of the daedra?

Theres also the possibility that through worship a connection is gained. Lore tells that the Chimeri worshipped the daedra, especially Azura herself. Is it possible that by willingly putting there lives in her hands that this let her take over them as a race?

This is a thread dedicated to all things Azura. Discuss.

Azura was probably able to do that because of her involvement with the chimer and the tribunal. Other daedra don't have that influence. But she is also one of the "good" daedra so...

Generalno1 your making the basic mistake of assuming daedra can be held to "good" or "Evil"
Daedra exist to cause change.Azura just indirectly causes change.

Cant they be held good or evil? this might be true, I mean daedra are just doing what they want and mayt have to 'pretend' to be good. Even some of the more vile daedra still give you quests so maybe they are above morality?

What sphere is Azura in control of?

Ah I see thank you General.

When people say that each Daera is in charge of a sphere what do they mean exactly? So without Azura there would be no beggining or end to a day?

What do you mean by she indirectley causes change? Wouldnt the ability to change an entire race be more of a direct use of her powers.

The change in biology didn't necessarily affect a change in personality. The Dunmer just chose to see it that way.

Her sphere of dawn and dusk to me represents acts of extreme good and extreme evil thus Azura's star is a vessel for the unlimited entrapment of souls, something that could be considered evil.

The change in the Dunmer is interesting,Azura seems the be their protector similar to Malacath and the Orcs. She chooses to appear as a Dunmer to mortals indicating perhaps guilt? The change also was a change from Dawn(The golden skinned Chimer) to Dusk(The black skinned Dunmer)

I believe that the change was intended to constantly remind the Tribunal of two things:

1.Azura would punish them

2.Their selfish actions cursed their whole race.

Yes now this is interesting. I never would of thought about the Dawn 'gold' dusk 'black' scenario, that is clever and imaginative. Yeah the whole Malacath thing is another reason why I believe that daedra are in control of there worshippers, I mean Malacath even changed into looking like an orc.

Maybe By cursing her people Azura had to also burden it? because the link was to strong, Just like Malacath.
