Now, I have serious pet-peeves about how things that I think are enunciated. (If you say fa-ti-gew I will scold you. (Although I am neutral on caramel.))

So, how do you say all of these names? Well some:

Morrowind - Mar-oh-wind
Vvardenfell - V-van-der-fell (It's due to me missing the 'r' in the name)
Vivec - Vi - vic
Daedra/Aedra - Day-dra/Ay-Dra (Sometimes Dee-dra, sometimes... Never Eee-Dra)
ALMSIVI - Al-mis-i-vi (Similar to Vvardenfell, missed a few letters)
Cuirass - Kah-Ross

Morrowind - Mar-oh-wind
Vvardenfell - Var-din-fell (It's due to me missing the 'r' in the name)
Vivec - Viv-ic
Daedra/Aedra - Day-dra/Ay-Dra
ALMSIVI - Alm sih-vee
Cuirass - Cure-iss (it's pronounced like that in-game, too)

Pelagiad - I always in my head said "peh-luh-gee-ihd" or whatever, but I finally heard it in-game and it's "puh-la-gee-ahd" with a soft "g" sound, like you'd hear in the French "rouge" or "ménage" or whatever.

Morrowind - As "tomorrow", with a wind on the end.
Vvardenfell - var-DUHN-fell
Vivec - viv-ECK (The in-game font used to make me think it was Vivee, because of the similarities between lower case Es and Cs)
Daedra/Aedra - day-DRAH/ay-DRAH
ALMSIVI - allm-SIH-vee (I wanted to write alm, but it doesn't rhyme with that. Think Al from Alex)
Cuirass - cure-ASS (used to pronounce it cure-ACE until I heard someone say it correctly)

So the long and short of it is, Kessie, either you're using incredibly odd notation, or you don't have much of a knack for pronouncing things correctly. I bet you'd even say the title as "pro-NOWNCE-ee-ay-shun" :P

EDIT: Curse the censor and its censorship of the alternate word for donkey. 's not even a swear word here, and it ruined my handy-dandy pronounciation guide.

Without the "to". I considered adding the previous, but I thought most people would have the common sense to drop the "to".

and FYI?
Common sense isn't.

i go for:

Morrowwind=Morrow-wind

Vvardenfell=Far-dun-fell

Vivec= Vi-Veck

Daedra/Aedra= Dee-dra/Eeedra

Almsivi= Alm-siv-ee

Cuirass= Cure-as*. it's sensored for some reason when i say the whole word.

Morrowind - Mar-oh-wind
Vvardenfell - Well, it's just like it's spelled isn't it?
Vivec - Vee-véck (Think about the ordinators in Vivec, they say it like this).
Daedra/Aedra - Day-dra/Ay-Dra
ALMSIVI - Also like it's spelled. Almseevee, with shorter ee's. ;)
Cuirass - Cure-As*

I'm pretty sure of this, since you can here every word in the games at some point.

Cuirass seems to be getting the most debate. According to M-W, it's "kwi-'ras"

That is the... that is the oddest pronounciation I've ever heard. Admittedly, it is an American dictionary, so that's probably it.

... or Kuýra*s.

This is probably getting the most debate because it's the hardest pronunciation to explain. ;)

That's it. When I get the PC version, I'm replacing "Cuirass" with "Breastplate".

It is TECHNICALLY not pronounced "cure-iss" or "cure-ass" but it's just a more obvious pronunciation, and thus it's used incorrectly by most people including myself and Bethesda. I learned this when my ex-fiancée corrected me when I said "cure-iss" once. I honestly can't recall how it's pronounced, but it's really stupid.

Haha, or you could just say every possible pronunciation really quickly. "Ah, a Daedric Cure-As* Cure-iss Kwi-ras! Nice!"

I'll do that from now on.

Ah, I knew joining up was a good idea!

Where's the stress in "apparel"?

Gee whiz doesn't sound like Jay Whiz, 'darlin. At least, not in America. Lemme try with my British accent...

Yep, still sounds like "Gee." Maybe you have a strange combination Cockney and Australian accent?

No, a hard G is a Guh sound, as in Gutter. A soft G is a J sound, as in George.

I think that's twice now you've been insulted BY a British person for insulting the British. It's rather ironical.

Also, it IS a soft G sound. Not in English, you fool. Think about how "red" is said in French, or "household." It's not quite a G or a J sound, and THAT is how they say Pelagiad in-game. That and in all instances it's spelled with a bloody G, so soft G.

I win. Case closed. Respect my awesome humility.

I never argued it was a soft G sound! I argued that her pronounciation guide made it look like it was a hard G, because she used a G, not a J!

I ADMIT I DID NOT MAKE THAT CLEAR.
