I am obsessed with the story of Queen Barenziah, which I've read in full via the Real Barenziah from Morrowind. I've wondered how the fellow who wrote it (name escapes me) found out about all of it. From talking to the queen itself?

And it must have some fairly explicit stuff in the original. Censored by the Temple?

So, anyone else like the series? I think it's in Oblivion too.

You read the Morrowind version? I suggest the Daggerfall version.

Warning: Not suitable for children--
The Real Barenziah: Daggerfall version

It's a bit shorter in some sections apparently, but there's a certain passage that was removed when it was put into Morrowind. I think you'll know when you find it.

Oh dear. The Temple apparently has more sense than they show.

Anyway, I love The Real Barenziah. A great read. In my only house mod for Morrowind, I added a full set of it. Well written, too.

I wish I could unread it   Very bad mental image.

I have a full set in mah Factor's Estate. It's fairly informative about the whole situation in Mournhold, which is nice when you go there. It also gave me a real appreciation for the real Berry. :D It's sad, too, and funny in some parts.

I hate to continue with this line of thought, but I must admit I'm curious: do you think it's true of all Khajit, or just certain sub-species since physical variation between them is fairly common?

Biology lesson!
It's all Khajiits. All feline species have the same trait. I could
have not read that section and known what was going on,
but curiosity got to me. And I can't unread it. I also can't
unwatch the documentary about cats and pregnancy that
taught me that useful tidbit of information. :?

I'm sure Berry was hurting a bit after that

can you imagine if the Khajiit was not an Alfiq but a Senche-Raht Battlecat? That would have probably destroyed Barenziah's [&@%!]!

I collected all the series of books in Oblivion and piled them up (untidly due to underwhelming grab feature) in my house in Leyawiin. It was about a year ago today that I crawled onto the wiki in search of the meaning behind the censored passage.

It really wasn't what I was expecting. I then loaded up Morrowind and just stood in her quarters for half an hour, sobbing. Then the mod I had written got me cut down by half a dozen guards.

Why do you supose Barenziah is the only person who believes you when you claimto have killed Almalexia?

Helseth does too.

It's probably cause she's been through so much weird stuff nothing's a surprise to her.

Or perhaps she knows more about who you are than you expect.

I'm fairly certain Therris was either a Suthay-raht (The ones in Morrowind), Ohmes (The ones from Arena), or Ohmes-raht (The wiki says they're the ones from Oblivion, but given the description sounds more like the ones in Daggerfall). The Alfiq look like housecats.

On topic, I like Barenziah's story. I liked it when I came across it when Morrowind was the only TES game I'd played, and after playing Arena I can appreciate the story of it a lot more.
