How can i connect to Xbox live when my computer and xbox are in different rooms? Okay, in short my xbox is in one place but my computer and modem are in the other. I need to connect to Xbox live. I have and adapter but its not strong enough to reach the signal from my wireless router. I cant move my xbox to my computer room but I do have a laptop that gets the signal fine that i can have in my room. How can i make Xbox live happen?

Move the router? Or get a laptop and use the ethernet cable from the xbox to the laptop and then it might work?

I'm presuming this laptop is running Windows? If you're on Windows 98 or later, then you're in luck.

Connect your laptop to your Xbox using an Ethernet cable. That's the blue one.

Connect to your modem with your laptop's wireless.

I presume you are also computer literate enough to be able to right click the icon that represents your internet connection, then click "Properties", navigate to the "Advanced" tab, then check the box that says, "Allow other users to connect to the internet using this connection" or something like that.

KGO!

If for some reason you can't do this, reply here and tell me what version of windows your on and I can try and explain it further for you.

This.

Or get a long ethernet cable and drill a few holes.
