Connect your laptop to your Xbox using an Ethernet cable. That's the blue one.
Connect to your modem with your laptop's wireless.
I presume you are also computer literate enough to be able to right click the icon that represents your internet connection, then click "Properties", navigate to the "Advanced" tab, then check the box that says, "Allow other users to connect to the internet using this connection" or something like that.
