These monthly competitions are a chance for you to demonstrate your creativity and talents while getting a chance to know your fellow members and have a little fun. Each competition has a different theme and a different talent to showcase! Do you have what it takes to claim the purple coins and awesome title of CotM Winner? Well, DO YOU!?

The basic rules are as follows:


This month: Avatar Costume Contest!

Last year AKB hosted the first ever UESP Forums Avatar Costume Contest, and he did such a good job that we decided he shouldn't run it this year, since it would make the rest of us look even worse. Plus we decided to make it the official Contest of the Month, since that's a thing we do every month or so.

Unlike last year's event, we're asking that you use your photo editing skills (however many you have) to actually put a costume on your avatar! Choose an avatar and then use Paint or Photoshop, or Gimp or whatever to draw a costume on the subject in your avatar. When you're done, post both the original avatar and your creation in your post (that way we can see the results even after the competition ends and your change your avatar back).

Our schedule for the event is as follows:
October 7: Competition begins! Start planning and send in those submissions!
October 25-30: Voting period – vote for your favorites!
October 31: Our winner is announced just in time for Halloween!
Please note that all times are determined by me, Musicman247, and therefore will run according to my timezone (GMT -6)

Remember that the CotM is not possible without you, so please participate, contribute, discuss, and vote!

Edit: I only just noticed that the OP says 'draw' a costume. I haven't drawn mine. Does it have to be hand drawn?

Replaced my glowy cube with a jittery pumpkin and did some alternate coloring. Plus a bit of optimizing. It's hard to get a gif to under 29 kb!

Well, I am already doing something with my avatar for this month, but for the sake of joining the contest, here's my usual Weird Al, albeit dressed up as a legendary character of film whom we all know and love (some in particular more than others). How he was able to fit all of that hair inside that mask is beyond me.

That's probably what Gandalf's body would look like if he wasn't wearing any clothes.
