These monthly competitions are a chance for you to demonstrate your creativity and talents while getting a chance to know your fellow members and have a little fun. Hopefully! Each month is going to have a different theme and a different talent – and maybe a surprise or two! Or not! But only one member can wear the purple coins and fancy title of CotM Winner! Unless there is a tie, then that previous sentence was false! Do you have what it takes? Specifically, the five dollars it would take to bribe me into rigging this whole game?

The basic rules are as follows:


This month, we will be doing a thing! Specifically, haikus! Write an Elder Scrolls themed haiku!
Will you write about the beautiful natural scenes to be found? Or something else that people write haikus about (I do not know what that would be!)? There are a ton of different ways to write haikus now, but traditionally they are written in three verses, with the first and last one five syllables long, and the middle one being seven. Additionally, most haikus are written about nature, and considering the countless striking natural scenes in the game, you can have quite a bit of variety here. You should also include a pause in haiku, somewhere in it.

But I'm not going to be overly picky with these rules! There are a ton of other acceptable ways to write haikus, and I'm not going to reject one for not following those requirements, since no one else who writes haikus seems to.

Our schedule for the event of this month (not sure which one that is completely!) is as follows:
April 10: Competition begins! Start planning and send in those submissions!
April 25-29: Voting period – vote for your favorites! I swear the vote shall not be rigged! Really!
April 30: Our winner is announced!
Please note that all times are determined by me, AKB, and therefore will run according to what time I say it is. This might be largely arbitrary!)

Remember that the CotM is not possible without you, so please participate, contribute, discuss, and vote!

A haiku about my first-day experience in ESO.

Elder Scrolls with friends
Let's quest together... oh no.
I fell through the ground.

Might as well take a hint of inspiration from AKB and do something about the Cliff Racers of Skyrim.

Walking through the fjords
Quest shattered by unseen death
I hate sabre cats.

M'aiq knows a lot
He can tell you many things
But he's tired now

I preemptively vote for Taters.

An ode to the most annoying enemy in all of Skyrim:

Frost troll in my way,
FUS RO DAH down the mountain.
On to High Hrothgar.

AKB, let me introduce you to Ben. He's my mate and my creative partner on this CotM. I think you'd like to meet him.

I guess Ben's haiku would be:

A quiet rustling
