I won't put in massive amounts of genres, but I will put in generic names.

I picked Jazz, Rock and Roll, and Blues.

I picked Rap, hiphop and electronic.

Damnit. I forgot some genres, such as Funk, Country, and others. :\ Adding those would reset the poll. Don't know what to do.

What the hell is 'traditional' pop?

'Pop' is popular music. Traditional is, what, 'extra popular' music?

I'm just sayin' because I was looking for 'punk' and 'rockabilly' in the poll. And then I see the words 'Traditional Pop' instead.

Traditional pop is Frank Sinatra type music I believe. That's what Wikipedia says at least.

Oh, then 'Traditional Pop' is one of mine. There's nothing quite so sublime as a firefight while a Sinatra tune is blaring over the loudspeakers.

Video game music, classical music, punk.

Jazz, rock and Reggae for me:P coulnd find chillstep and dubstep the but moestly listen to Reggae remixes with these two so doesn't really matter:P

Interestingly, Rockabilly and Rock and Roll are very similar. I also find it funny that people often confuse "Rock" with "Rock and Roll".

Well, I guess that depends on what you define as "rockabilly" and what you define as "rock and roll". "Rockabilly" is generally taken to mean the very early, hard-edged style of Rock and Roll that developed between Rock's early black roots and it's later white mainstream success. Usually, when people think of "Rock and Roll", they're talking about things like Chuck Berry or classic-period Elvis, Buddy Holly or maybe even Jerry Lee Lewis. You know, pop'ier, slicker stuff. Rockabilly is, in general, used to refer to the more fringe style of music that grew out of rock n' roll and early country - stuff like Carl Perkins and Wanda Jackson. To my ears, I'd say that these two genres are not at all similar - at least not if, like me, you grew up being forced to listen to that crap every single day by your unrepentant Greaser parents.

Although really, since genre-naming isn't an exact science, you could say that rockabilly and rock and roll are the same things. You could also say that Rock and Rock and Roll are the same things, too, for all I care.

I selected classical and metal, seeing as I only dabble in any of the others.

I selected country and metal, but metal was the closest to what I would classify it as, so not exactly metal.

I like new age space music, you know like Jonn Serrie. Suppose its kind of electronic.
Enya style music. Not sure what genre that is.
And instrumental movie soundtracks.

I chose Rap, Hip Hop, and Metal. Odd combination. I am more a fan of the old hip hop style, and Rap before about 2009. (There are still some occasional good ones.) I like bands like Disturbed and Avenged Sevefold, in the metal genre. But I pretty much will listen to anything. I listen to music all the time, anyways.

Uplifting Trance, Film Score and Classical . Mainly instrumental music, as you can see. For the sake of the poll I just picked Classical.

In the following order; Blues, Rock, Electronic. Namely, electronic-rock; such as Blue Stahli. I like a little of each and every genre, though.

I agree; folk would've been my third choice.

As it is, I picked Rock, Metal, and Classical, since most of what I like is either a subgenre or mix of those. Blues is pretty good too.

No indie makes me

Rock - Indy rock and certain classic rock bands
Traditional pop - I like certain contemporary pop/top 40 singers, but I prefer the unprocessed vocals of the old stuff.
Electronic - ambient, trip-hop, trance... mostly 90's stuff.

Every genre has artists I like, though, and I go through phases. And a lot of stuff overlaps, of course; traditional pop and jazz and big band and swing; electronic and dance; country and folk; and so on. One of my favorite bands combines elements of all three genres I voted for.

I find it funny that pop's name means popular, yet no one picked it as their favorite.

In my opinion, popular music from the 21st century all sounds the same, yet it doesn't sound good either.

Underground Hip Hop, 90's Hip Hop, Indie Rock (-sorta; I've started listening to it only lately).

You're on a fan forum for a fantasy RPG. I highly doubt pop culture's going to be reflected too much.

I picked Pop, Hip Hop and Dance because Rap and Electronic aren't actual genres and no amount of Wikipedia can convince me otherwise.
