These monthly competitions are a chance for you to demonstrate your creativity and talents while getting a chance to know your fellow members and have a little fun. Each month is going to have a different theme and a different talent – and maybe a surprise or two! But only one member can wear the purple coins and fancy title of CotM Winner! Do you have what it takes?

The basic rules are as follows:


May's a month everyone can enjoy, so we're going to have a competition everyone can enjoy. This month your task is so easy that anyone can do it: caption that screenshot! That's right. Attached to this post, and under the tag below, is a screenshot from The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. Give it a witty, deep, or hilarious caption of your choosing and then upload it here, where everyone will get a chance to vote for the one that they enjoyed the most!

When posting your entry, please make sure to put it behind a hidden tag. Entries outside of hidden tags may not be considered.


Our schedule for the May event is as follows:
May 1: Competition begins! Start planning and send in those submissions!
May 26 - 30: Voting period – vote for your favorites!
May 31: Our winner is announced!
Please note that all times are determined by me, Avron the S’wit, and therefore will run according to GMT -5/Eastern Standard Time. (Click here if you’re unsure when, exactly, that is!)

Remember that the CotM is not possible without you, so please participate, contribute, discuss, and vote!

So we actually have to use something like Microsoft Word to upload our submissions? So just typing it on here will not cut it? Just wondering...

We're looking for finished images. You can use Paint, Gimp, Photoshop, or even online meme makers!

Hey, my first CotM entry.

Is it really an Elder Scroll?

It's not great but I'll give it a shot.

So far everybody's pics look great and it's only day 5!

For anyone who isn't entering because they don't know how to edit images, you can use roflbot to put words on a picture, then host it on imgur

I don't know how to edit images in any meaningful way. All I did was open Paint and insert a textbox. Getting the font right was tad annoying. Be sure to zoom out on the image before you save to make sure the text is readable if you're doing it the way I did.

Those are super entries...but we still need more.
