March Competition of the Month

Welcome one and all to the Competition of the Month!

These monthly competitions are a chance for you to demonstrate your creativity and talents while getting a chance to know your fellow members and have a little fun. Each month is going to have a different theme and a different talent – and maybe a surprise or two!

The basic rules are as follows:

Since we're starting late into the March CotM, then we're going to do something simple this month. You assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to take an image from the TES world (Either taken yourself or off the internet) and caption it. Make it creative, funny, deep, whatever you want - at the end of the month, you'll vote on the best overall caption. Here's an easy captioning site for you. (Note - this website wasn't working for me when I just tried it, I don't know if this is on my end or the website's. If it is the website's problem, contact me so I can find a new one.)

Our schedule for the March event is as follows:
March 11 – March 25: Competition begins! Start planning and send in those submissions!
March 26 – March 30: Voting period – vote for your favorites!
March 31: Our winner is announced!
Please note that all times are determined by me, Arch-Mage Matt, and therefore will run according to GMT -5/Eastern Standard Time. (Click here if you’re unsure when, exactly, that is!)

Remember that the CotM is not possible without you, so please participate, contribute, discuss, and vote!

Note: If you're wondering why Avron isn't hosting this competition, the reason is quite simple. She has informed me that she has decided to live her life as an acorn and grow in the forests of Ohio. I haven't heard from her since.

Childish as this will sound....
I have a screenie that I made of Glarthir after the guards killed him. I leaned his body against a building and surrounded him with mead bottles.

Is that wrong? lol I'll post it if I still have it.

Hi guys! Great entries so far. :mrgreen:

I heard a few people might be having bugs when posting. This has to do with the path that you are reading the posts in. If you look at the URL address, you'll notice this, usually:

Code:

http://forums.uesp.net/viewforum.php?f=[numeric value here]

After the f=, there is a number that corresponds to a value for each subforum path. If you are mistakenly being directed to a "forbidden" or "unreadable" path, it may not allow you to view the post or reply. If it doesn't work, try entering 22 (that's the General Banter path) and see if that works for you.

This should explain why you can't post links, you've yet to be confirmed, seeing as you're only a new user.

You will normally get these rights after 7 full days of membership and 10 counted posts. Alternatively, you can go to the user control panel, select "Usergroups", click "Confirmed Users", and then "Join Group" - this will give Moderators your request, and in all but very few cases the rights are granted.

Also, I don't think you can have more than one entry, although you might want to get Matt to confirm.

Ahh, my misunderstanding then. Likely, a Mod will see this post when they check this thread and confirm you anyway, so don't stress, this should be sorted out pretty quickly.
