These monthly competitions are a chance for you to demonstrate your creativity and talents while getting a chance to know your fellow members and have a little fun. Each month is going to have a different theme and a different talent – and maybe a surprise or two!

The basic rules are as follows:


February is a short month and we're off to a late start, but who says there isn't enough time for love? It's Valentine's Day and love is in the air! Your mission, should you choose to accept: create a valentine card for the TES character in your life. But worried you're not an artist? Don't worry, because there's a twist! Your card has to be drawn in the style of the great Oblivion painter Modreyn Oreyn! (Click here for an example of his fine work.)

Make your card cute, witty, silly, and childish, and then get all your friends to vote! This month's winner will get a $35 e-certificate to a website of their choice (provided it's not absolutely outlandish and foul, of course), because February is the month of love, and we want you to be in love with your prize! <3

Our schedule for the February event is as follows:
February 9 – February 25: Competition begins! Start planning and send in those submissions!
February 26 – February 28: Voting period – vote for your favorites!
February 29: Our winner is announced!
Please note that all times are determined by me, Avron the S’wit, and therefore will run according to GMT -5/Eastern Standard Time. (Click here if you’re unsure when, exactly, that is!)

So many possibilities... where to begin. I need to catch up on my wit.

Does it have to be a TES character? Or can I use Non-TES characters or elements?

I think it would be fun to have a TES character (we are a TES forum), but you can certainly use non-TES elements in it; that's all good!

I'll even submit something...but just for fun.

Note that I really don't care if I'm officially in this contest, so expect more than one entry.

I'd prefer to just upload one entry per user (lookin' at you there Matt), if we can avoid the voting confusion down the road - but you can always submit them in The Arts subforum's creative thread.

No one said that they do own the idea. However, here in the States it's just called "Valentine's Day." Not everyone celebrates the historical aspect of it, clearly...so don't be so picky, and make me a fun card!

That's right. But until the last day for submissions, you are free to edit and change your entry as many times as you want. Once it's linked for voting in my post announcing the period begins, it's final!
