Introducing the first UESP Competition of the Month! The aim of this competition is simple: Elder Scrolls fan art. There are very few boundaries, as your art can be about anything in the Elder Scrolls, from any game or the Lore. If you're planning on painting the Battle of Sancre Tor, or just want to sketch your favourite Morrowind character, all will be accepted. You can submit your art in any medium, so digital art is completely fine, as long as it's Elder Scrolls related. When you've completed your art and are happy with it, submit a link to it in a reply to this thread. On the 20th of October, I'll put up a poll for all works submitted. Good luck!

10th of October sounds a little stringent doesn't it. But I can still have something nice by then.

If I have to, I'll extend the deadline. I don't want people to feel rushed, but if we're going to keep the momentum going, I need to keep it within a reasonable amount of time.

10th? make it 20th, that is not even a long time and I doubt I would be able to even participate if the 10th is the case.

Still excited for this.

I'm certainly looking forward to it. But don't make it too heavy, ok, it is meant to be fun.

OK, you've convinced me that Fan Art is a good idea. I've got my drawing pad and ArtRage at the ready. Forget A levels, let's do some landscapes!

Well, I hope you like ink, because I don't think I can color anything for the 10th. :)

Don't make the competition too heavy, or don't make the submissions too heavy? (I just realized that is some ugly semantics, but, yeah.)

I think I might join this. I just started drawing a Dunmer Assassin Morrowind style. We'll see if I get done before this ends.

Mostly, remember we're all in the same Forum. What we love here is the support of others, and i don't think we want to change that for some "blood taste in the mouth" competition.
Like i say to Kalle:

Don't worry. If you can't make it right here, there will come a new opportunity.

Do your best, everyone, but this is not a survival game: you will all survive, even I will. Let's make the best of it, but all here are pals, ok? :D

I think everyone here on the forums is super nice and good sports, and you won't have to worry about that Andere! I for one am looking forward to everyone's submissions for all these competitions. It's so nice to see people's creative sides come out! :)

I'm definitely drawing something. Don't except it to be good or very funny, though.

I've been working a bit with my assassin, and I never knew painting Chitin Helms from an angle would be so difficult!
I think I'll go with a good old hood instead.

Edit: OK, guys. I need your help with Gimp. I drew my assassins arm a little to far away from the rest of his body, and I want to move it closer. How the heck do I do that?! I've been trying pretty much everything, but all I have moved is the selection (or whatever it's called) but the arm itself just won't follow!
I mean, like, in Paint you just draw a box over it and move it, but apparently there's no such function in Gimp. Or am I just stupid?

I think if you draw your desired selection then hold ALT then drag it it should move the selection AND everything in it as well. :)

Thanks, I'll have to try that next time.
I kinda started raging a little because I couldn't find the function, but then I just opened it in Paint and moved the arm.
It messed up the quality a bit, but nothing I can't fix.

If you can, try drawing each body part on seperate layers. It just makes the job easier.

I've got a good idea for what I want to draw, but I'm not sure if I have the skill to make it, or the resources to get it on the internet. I may just have to do some image editing, but I will present something.

So, I was a little curious really who is in on this, and how is it going for you guys? :)

It's going pretty good for me, and I've actually surprised myself a bit. I think I'll be done on Saturday or Sunday.
My assassin looks badass.

I'm in. I think. I've already started something anyhow; being able to finish it is another matter, hah!

As for how it's going, well....all I have at my disposal are three Indian ink pens and one mechanical pencil - and four years since I've last even thought of touching them. Let's just say the result is...interesting!

Of course, I don't like it...but I'm too far in to quit. Sigh.

Uhm, guys? I just realized my drawing is only 640x400. You think that's a problem, or is it fine? I'm pretty new to pictures and stuff like this, so I don't know if it will affect the quality when I upload it.
