Well, the good thing about this is you have to write through the blocks. I've done 709 words in the past hour. Terrible. But better than nothing, I suppose.

I've written 3300 words now, god I wanted more than that. Maybe I'm just slow.

I have 4,500 words written in the first two days. I think I'm dying a little inside. It's like all I do is stare at this monitor while sitting in this chair. But god I get obsessive. I don't want to stop. I'm worried if I stop I'll get lax and fall behind.

Stop worrying, Link. Just go with the flow. Its all part of the process: we start off with a bang and then burn out somewhere in the middle. If you're worried about this, pace yourself. Get to 1700 words or even 2000 and then stop for the day. :)

So, in a fit or something-or-other, I've scrapped the novel I'd already started, and have now started a new one. Already written more of it than of the other one, and the writing feels much easier and more natural. Still way, way off target, though. :|

Yeah, I guess I shouldn't cram a ton into one day.

I've stretched, relaxed for a while, played a match of dota 2 and I feel a bit better now. Perhaps I'll finish the chapter I'm on. How are you guys doing?

To be honest, I'm not sure I want to keep up. I don't normally write, unlike you guys, and this is the first time in a long while I've written anything. I have a foundation now, and I'm comfortable in it, but feeling like there's a deadline and that I have to "power through it" takes away the enjoyment, and I think the joy of writing is rather the point of NaNoWriMo, n'est-ce pas?

Finishing 50, 000 is the point of NaNo but if it doesn't vibe with you, then it doesn't. :)

I've got about 400 words more to go before I hit my word count for the day....and 30 mins to do it in. It'll get done.

Well, I got ~1600 words today again, the majority of it written on my ipad while I was at the clinic getting treatment for my Crohn's disease, so it actually was kind of annoying trying to write it up, more so because the ipad sucks for proper writing.

Otherwise not bad, going on schedule. I'm actually feeling a bit more confident about my crappy writing today than I was yesterday.

So... I only got 500-something words last night.
[&@%!] me right?

I'm worried about where this story is going.
I just spent 500 words describing booth upholstery.

3442 words. Thank god for the weekends; no school, no work. Pretty much barreling through as many words as I can get right know, because the past has shown I'll loose steam in a few days, and I want to get a head start. I suppose I'm lucky, I've had an outline and been preparing for this story for a long time and have all my concepts laid out while I'm working.

Apparently, though, I needed help writing:

It's Sunday, not much time for writing for me. This morning, I'll have 6,000 words written, should be good enough for three days.

Edit: NaNo doesn't mind of things get mature in my book, right? Should I keep it PG?

So, I've got about 4400 words to catch up on today.
Yaaaay.

I'm about to start writing now. My story is still in the first chapter. The protagonist has had some bad luck from the start but its about to get better when her professor gives her something very important (and magical). I developed two magic systems for this story and she's inherited both of them. I've introduced the first magic system, now the second, and all supporting characters except the antagonist which comes in chapter 2. And oh, 2nd chapter has some bad [&@%!]. ;)

Somehow it's comforting for me to know that somebody else is also just now starting to write consistently...

Thanks, AKB.

All my free time is getting ruined thanks to this though. My other obligations are slipping now too. :(

Edit: I'm now at 7,000 words. Seems good for four days.

Passed 7k words, wrote a total of about 2k words today, which was pretty nice.

Turning off the inner editor is really nice. Even if it means I'm mindlessly written boring, trite nonsense just to get the story moving. It's almost like I'm writing my crappy stories from 7th-9th grade before my inner editor developed, except that the crappiness of the writing is different and maturer. :D

I wrote 1709 today. I struggled through it. Even after months of planning, I am still pantsing a good deal of this story. I tend to be a perfectionist when it comes to my writing so turning off my internal editor is proving a pain. And I didn't write yesterday so I have some catch up to do (Sundays are family days so I don't get much chance to write). But I'll still keep going after the end of the month anyway since the piece won't be finished at 50, 000 words.

I thought about writing a bit more tonight but I'm exhausted from a long day, so tomorrow my word goal is 3400.

I've been marathoning it because I know I'll end up losing steam at one point, and I want my word tally to be up there when I hit that point. Plus, I won't be done with my story at 50K either, so as much done as possible. Been averaging 3k a day so far, but I think it's mostly excitement, lol

I've officially folded on trying to get to 50,000 for the month, some things have come up and this'll be the busiest month of the year...
I got a good start on this story though, I'll come back and finish it at a more free-period.

I'm really straining now.

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHUGHGUHGUGHGUG

I need to write, more, more, more. Maybe I can crank 3,000 words everyday for five days soon. That should help. I'm 6600 words as of this writing.

Start of Chapter 2, things are about to get hot. I may reach 3400 today out of sheer excitement.
