So, I was thinking on starting Pokemon Silver again. (Mainly to test if my old cartridge's battery has somehow miraculously recovered.) And I was posed with the question of whether or not it was daylight savings time. Me being unsure, went to google, this is what came up:

I am so excited for the new remakes that it's actually unhealthy. I am not much of a hype-driven person in general but when it comes to Pokemon it's different.

I watched all of the E3 material and I'd rather have a Gen 3 remake than all the other games combined, that's sort of sad but true.

Although I must admit that Zeldarim/Skelda will probably be fun and I'm more than likely going to cave and buy a WiiU due to it despite being hesitant of buying a console that is selling as fast as onion flavored ice cream would.

The first pokemon games I owned (not the first I played, but the first I didn't have to steal from my brother) were Ruby and Sapphire, so the nostalgia is killing me right now. I actually haven't looked at the pre-release stuff for once, as I think I want to go in utterly unprepared like I was for the originals. I feel like doing too much research on X&Y was part of the reason I lost interest.

Soooo, who is getting which version? I might get both (...because) but I'm leaning towards AlphaSapphire if I can only get one. I like blue better, it would fit my Mudkipz Foreva plans, and my conceptualization of "omega" has been ruined by too many wolf documentaries. Cough. Then again, I'm guessing less people will get OmegaRuby? Maybe? In that case I'll want to grab it for exclusives but argh so much deciding!

X/Y were a letdown for me so I'm hoping the upcoming games will reignite my interest in the series.

I started with Pokemon blue for the GBC myself and have played all the Pokemon games so far and Ruby/Sapphire are really standout titles for me from what I've played, maybe because I was only 8 when I got Pokemon Blue for Christmas and wasn't old enough to truly appreciate the games and the same is the case for Gold/Silver.

I really want a Mega Walrein. Like really bad as Walrein was weirdly my most used Pokemon in Sapphire.

I just hope GF introdue a better matchmaking system that adds up a players teams statistical averages and matches them accordingly in online battles.

I have all the Legendaries but I hate using them because I like a bit of a challenge but when people show up with teams of Legendaries across the board all the time it kills the online aspect of Pokemon for me.

I didn't worry as much in the Gen 1/3 days because online wasn't on them.

Mega Skarmory would be nice too now that I think about it but it would probably be extremely OP. I can't believe Gamefreak made Mega Sableye, if that thing has Prankster it will be so broken, like Blaziken broken.

Mega Sableye has Magic Bounce, not Pranskter.

Ahhhhggg Mega Altaria! Altaria is amazeballs in general, so I'm so happy they made the fluffy cottonball even fluffier. *grabs ALL the Altaria in X/Y so she's ready*

I still need need need a Krabby. And/or a Turtwig.

One poison jab, rock slide, bullet punch or mirror shot and Altaria goes down faster than a MiG with an exploding missile in its tailpipe, the fact its a fairy/dragon makes incredibly vulnerable.

Good lord man, don't ruin it! I don't mean for battling, I mean for the awesome fluffiness.

(yes I realize people are looking at me funny now, I dun care)

I get that, I just tend to prefer practicality over fluffyness, not that Altaria doesn't have its uses.

Every Pokemon has it's uses, just some do the same but better. Though given there aren't any other Dragon/Fairy types that come to mind...

I've pretty much based on if I get pokemon or not based on how much I like them. Altaria, I will play the crap out of, the fluffyness will surely provide protection in my sleep. Yes.

I'm a bit confused about Mega Sharpedo. It's got sawfish blades on the sides of its nose in the artwork, but not in the gameplay footage. Last minute design change?

I think they're all ugly tbh. Gallade still has Tic-Tac hips, Camerupt looks like a dumb cow, and Sharpedo reminds me of that ridiculous water otter in gen V where they just kind of stuck on as many details as they could think of to the point where it just looks stupid.
Man, I can't use ugly Pokemon. This is rough.

The only one I have a real issue with is Camerupt, andGallade is borderline. Sharpedo, I actually like. It seems like a reasonable direction to take, IMO.

Each time I've gone through a playthrough of any gen 1 or gen 2 game (or a remake of thus) I always end up with some badass Pigeot in my party, so this makes me really happy.
