Yeah, I jumped on that one, my timezone is way different though, moved to Italy for work reasons.

Back again to this wonderful community after a year away from Morrowind.

Time for some Hardcore Altmer play.

I decided to take the time to make it official. Hello!

I was introduced to Skyrim when my daughter brought it home because her boyfriend was playing it. Then my sons started playing and one son kept thinking there had to be something special with the Lunar Forge. He showed me the forge and showed me the book, and I noticed the amazing attention to detail in the skybox. I spent the next month playing the game...but never reaching the first town. I noticed the two CDs we had were different versions, and that the moon phases were a few days different from each other. I would create different characters and immediately head West as fast as I could and climb to a specific mountain edge so I could watch the sky and camp for in-game weeks and months documenting the phases and star signs. I never found any Lunar Forge Easter eggs, but I was able to prove wrong the popular YouTube video going around saying that Skyrim proves Secunda revolves around Masser.

I finally started "actually" playing the game and hit my goals of legendaring every skill and collecting 1 million septims. I would take loads of gold ingots and stacks of jewelry and hoardes of every kind of filled soul gems to the house in Solstheim and throw them down the steps. Yeah, not stacks of 50 or 100 etc., but individually drop them.

I played an honest character and didn't steal (well, except from thieves and the dead). When I came across a mission that required I steal, I would just set it aside. I started running out of side missions and this one shop owner wanted me to steal a book from the Bards College. I tried bringing her the exact same book I found in another location, but Oh NO!, She wants THAT book. I finally could take it no longer. I snuck in the college late at night, pilfered the musty thing and absconded for the shop. As I handed her the book, she looked at me with a penetrating gaze and said; "The Gods know what you have done." I'm sure she meant it as a compliment and a thank you to me for my services. But in that moment, in my minds eye; I watched as my hero in white, sunk to his knees, with his heart melting away and his head falling into his hands; "What have I done!"

And then I decided it was time to finish the main story.

So yeah, now I'm hooked on it all and I'm one of "those" players. I'm also older than Pong, so I'm new...but not that new.

Welcome! It's good to have you here. I notice you haven't played Morrowind yet? I think you're going to love it when you do.

Thanks. Yeah, I didn't have an X-box or PC that could play it. That's my plan though. I bought a used copy of the Anthology for PC and plan to purchase one that will at least let me play through Morrowind. For now, I decided to give Arena and Daggerfall a proper play. I'm hoping that after I get through Morrowind, enough time will have passed that I'll be able to afford something to play TES VI.

Hello! I'm new to the forums. I've been a long-time fan of Elder Scrolls, but only recently started getting really into the series, which has included going back and playing through every Elder Scrolls game in release order, and probably spending more than I should on merch . I'm a recent Computer Science graduate and so far I've only used that degree to help me patch a game-breaking bug in Shadowkey in the EKA2L1 emulator.

Welcome to the forums! You may have noticed that it's pretty dead around here, so if you're looking for a more active community you might want to head over to the UESP Discord server, which is far more active as I've been given to understand.*

*Beta has tried to lure me with cookies, but so far I've resisted the temptation...
