Looks cute, Beta. :) Is it a talking breed or a silent one? And do you let her fly around when she wants to?

The breed can talk, but willow does not. She never developed the skills for speech, so she mainly mimics the same old sounds(mostly squeeks and grumbles) but she does know how o laugh

Morgan, our other bird is the talker. Granted Grey's are the smartest type of parrots. He can literally hold a conversation if he wants, or tell me to shoo when I'm messing with his toys. Sadly, he's always been shy, so he's normally vocal when he thinks nobody is listening.. or in the case of when he wants my mother, very vocal (Very, very rarely he climbs off cage and proceeds to walk down the hall "Dawn? Daaawn? Dawn?" Peaking into every door. And if he spots one of the dog, he high tails it back saying "Be good, be good!" Hence why he rarely ventures out, it's unsafe)

Per flying? Neither of them can officially fly. For the longest time we kept them trimmed, but as of late we let them grow out. We wanted them to learn how to glide safely to the floor rather than tumble for a fall.

Willow has a bit of a lift and understands how to glide if she wants, so we're on the debate on when its time to partially trim back. Morgan on the otherhand i the real reason we want them to learn. He has no clue how to land, and we're afraid he'll injure himself some day after being spooked by something

But yeah, we dont want them to fly :/ not only would we be on guard to any access outside. But we'll aslo have a hell of a time keeping them from getting into things we dont want them to chew or such. Plus.. at least in the case of Willow.. it would be a living nightmare for the dogs. She's very hostile to them. Rather than being defensive or out of reach like Morgan, she'll actively go after them. Yeah, the dogs may be scared of them(especially of the Grey, bigger bird means bigger bite) but she down right acts like she has a death wish

Discussed anything interesting with him in the past? Just curious. :) Do you feed them slices of bananas as a treat? Or just use parrot food and to be sterotypical for just a few seconds, a cracker as a treat?

That is a dirty sterotype, Aarah and I am shocked and appalled by you. Damn Northerners and their savage pork pie covered in gravy with their gravy covered chips in their gravy covered snacks ways. Yes, they do cover everything in gravy up there. Savages!

Yeah, so? Gravy is the shizz.
My mum makes the best gravy.
I used to joke that my Dad would have 'gravy with things in it', cos he'd pour so much on his dinner.
I know you're jealous of our gravy, Dovah. It's ok to admit it.

Seriously, stop pouring gravy on everything! It's why we were in a recession!

Down here, we do it in moderation and actually eat a small thing called veggies. And proper fish. ;)

We do too. You can put gravy on fish and veggies. ;)

Seriously though - I wouldn't put gravy on fish. Yuck. Only ocassionally have gravy with meat and potatoes, and even less so on chips.

Helped dad assemble our new shower cabin. One of the sliding glass doors randomly exploded. Sigh.

So the pipes in the house have started to periodically make Chewbacca noises.
I'm not sure if it's air or if the lovable Wookie is trying to tell that he's stuck somewhere.

@Nanza. Were you practicing opera singing? If you manage to hit a note that matches the resonance frequency of the glass, that can happen.

Resonance destroys more than glass.

That wasn't resonance. The actual cause of the Tacoma Narrows bridge collapse was a phenomenon known as aeroelastic flutter. There is a very interesting (and very long) article here explaining what actually happened and how the bridge tore itself apart, and also why the collapse has wrongly been attributed to resonance for 75 years.

Either way, it's a pretty impressive and spectacular failure.

Can we talk physics now? I'm in class 11 now and have science practicals.

We just measured the diameter of a bottle cap using a 50 year old vernier calipers.

I'm not thinking correctly like usual ATM and I've been feeling some deja vu. For some reason, I've had more deja vu recently than before.

Edit: Something is causing me to go crazy ATM. I don't know if it's the unexpected plot twist in TA2, a debate I had on the Planetisde Forever Discord, these [&@%!] fans where I at and their loudness and me being unable to turn them off, me talking to myself, depression in general, auditory hallucinations, etc. It could be a combination of many things. But there's too much things going on and I'm going nuts. Make it [&@%!] stop!

Edit: Fortunately, my headphones make things more bearable like usual. Cutting down on the amount and intensity of stimuli helps me.

Unless you run like me, where, despite being a young skinny guy, you get winded after running 6 steps.

Have you ever thought that's because you have no legs and just sort of float there?
