Everything that doesn't fit anywhere else, goes here

Seeing as the old photography thread is nearly half a decade old - here's a new one for 2015.
Post your photos of anything you've taken that you want to share!
Moved my bird images from the old thread that I necro'd.

Thought this was cute (blurred though):
Close-up shots of the crow and pigeon:
The crow flew off just as I took the photo:

Nice shots, Aarah! I like the two close-ups (although that crow looks like it's giving you the evil eye!).

Thanks, Wolfborn!
Ha, yeah, I think it spotted me taking a sneaky snap! Earlier in the year, I had a crow that would sit in the garden for ages waiting for food to be put out, to feed its babies, and then when the babies were bigger, it brought them to eat, so I got to see them growing up.
Not sure if this was one of those birds but it didn't seem to bother too much when I was near, so reckon it might be. I named the parent bird Midnight, seeing as it visited so frequently. Alas, I don't see them that often anymore.

What's growing in the garden?

A bunch of pre-existing well established perennials that I don't know the name of.
This year's new additions were some alpines and gardenias. There's also a small apple tree.

I never knew this thread existed, how come nobody told me?
Here are a few highlights of stuff I've taken in the past few years:I'm by no means a professional, but I do love taking photos.

Those are really good photos, Weasel. You've got a good eye.
I really like the Hallein one. You can view it upside down and it's the same, it's so crisp.

Thanks!
It's a Jagdterrier. Sooner or later, your face will get eaten.
I'm on my 4th or 5th face right now. Ain't cheap, I tell ya.

Since nobody asked, and I was looking outside earlier, this is what I see from my bedroom window.
Mon Jul 03, 2017 8:41 pm
Hey, that looks cool, Mars.
So...not too far to get to the train station for you then!
I like the style of those buildings; shame about the gravity-defying graffiti though.
Mon Jul 03, 2017 8:44 pm
I have contemplated, on multiple occasions, asking people what they saw outside their windows. But I always thought that might be a weird thing to ask. And look now, I didn't even have to ask!
Anyway, it looks so pretty there! Do trains go by on those tracks often? I love the sound of trains.
ninja'd. And I like the graffiti.
Mon Jul 03, 2017 8:48 pm
That's actually the subway, so yeah, trains go by pretty much every 5 minutes.
I also live in a major crime/drug trafficking zone, which is a contrast to how nice it looks, but you can't see that unless you go outside after 6.
Mon Jul 03, 2017 8:53 pm
I hope you're not going outside after 6. Is it dangerous, at all?
Mon Jul 03, 2017 8:56 pm
I got robbed once, but generally it isn't, no. It was 5 AM when that happened (I was going to work). It is a little annoying when 5+ people walk in your way and try to sell you weed, but at least they're not pointing knives at me, right?
Mon Jul 03, 2017 9:41 pm
Oh no! Robbing isn't good! But as long as those weed dealers aren't trying to attack you, it isn't too bad, I suppose.

I went out for a stroll this afternoon and decided to take a picture of what my rural homeland looks like.
Wed Jul 19, 2017 9:33 pm
Maybe a bit late in replying to this but that's an absolutely beautiful pic. I will retire from the suburbs/city one day.

Don't do it, the broadband sucks.
Thu Jul 20, 2017 12:24 am
Can confirm, the broadband does suck. But rural Ireland is beautiful. I really need to visit The Burren some day, it's in the west of Ireland and has a really interesting rocky landscape. Likewise with The Giant's Causeway in the north.
I think I have been to them but it was when I was very young so I don't remember.

Holy molly, that's alot of grass 0.o

Ahhh, Kerr's rural homeland is beautiful! This is a gorgeous picture! I love it!

I really like this photo I took in a cemetery.
