Description:
3E418

The players are a band of adventurers living a carefree life of dungeon raiding and mercenary work. Their home is wherever their camp is set up. As children they had the dream of being an adventurer, becoming rich by looting all manner of dungeons; forts, tombs, caves, shipwrecks. As young men and women they made their dream a reality and set out to pursue the life they sought. But time is merciless. As the adventures go on life constantly evolves. Relationships change. Friends become foes and bitter rivalries lead to bloodshed. Former comrades fall in love and retire. Death claims the unskilled and the unfortunate. But new adventurers come to take the place of old ones and thus; the band can never die.

As you have probably understood my idea was this:
We create a fictional band of characters, 'Adventurers', who live a life of adventure and share a common "home", their camp and therefore live together. But we don't only write the action, but the "boring" parts too. Adventurers have a life. They have relationships. Friends, rivals, maybe even lovers.

Edit: The plot has moved, quite a lot. Things aren't quite as simple as they were before, and the adventurers are scattered. If you wish to be one of them, PM me and I'll fit you right in.

Characters:
Character sheet example:
Name:Tim
Race:Nord
Age:23
Specialazation:Barbarian. Fast, agile and good at fighting with blunt weapons. Can take on most oponents
Appearance: Tall, muscular with long, fair blond hair.
Personality: Adept and ferocious in battle but clumsy around people. He finds it hard to talk about himself and his emotions; therefore he doesn't talk much
It would also be good if you had some sort of backstory in mind, in case another character asks you about it.
Specialazations can be anything, like archery, lockpicking, deciphering ancient languages, magic and whatnot. There can also be various combinations like smithing and magic which makes for magic armour and weapons. Whatever you think.

PM the sheet to me, so that I can approve it and I will work you into the action somehow.

Playing:
The RP has been going on for some time and has moved away from what it was. I'm giving it much more emphasis on story now, and there are several groups of characters. Once I have approved your character I will discuss your role in the RP with you and the other players. As to actual gameplay, it's really just standard text RPing.

Rules:
1) No Mary Sue/Gary Sue characters. Have weaknesses. They're good for you.
2) No god-modding
3) As the sole DM I reserve the right to kill your character
4) If your character dies you may create a new one

That's all I think is needed for now. Feel free to ask me things I haven't covered.

It was a seemingly normal morning in Cheydinhall. The fine people were all on their way to the chapel when the first seed of un-normality was cast. A hooded figure was walking in the opposite direction of the chapel going mob at a hasty pace. It pushed its way through the chattering crowd and walked off towards the city gates. A few people turned their head but most paid no attention and continued on their way. The figure had already dissapeared.
After the sermon in the chapel was over the people of the town went about their business. None of them had noticed the mysterious poster glued to the city gate.
In the evening however when the men went to the tavern next to the gate for a drink they noticed it. It read:

Fellow wandering adventurers!
I know you tire of your solitary life our line of work brings with itself.
I know that you long for good company.
If you wish for adventure, good loot, and good company then I have your answer.
Come to my camp northeast of Barren Cave.
I promise you riches, adventure and loyal companionship.

This poster unnerved the people greatly. There was nor name nor seal on it and they were afraid that it was to recruit bandits or thieves. The adventurers passing through Cheydinhall however seemed keen on discovering who was behind it.

Leowyn stood by the poster. His original intention, today, was to join the fighters guild. He was reluctantly forced into it, by his Dad.

This would be a much better option for him.

Owen just arrived in Cheydinhall. It was his first time in this town. He quickly asked a city guard about a place to sleep. On his way towards the tavern he noticed the men gathered near the city gate, grumbling about something. He approached and asked on of them what was this about. The men didn't answer, but it only pointed his finger towards the poster.Owen approached closer to the poster and started reading. The words that were written reminded him again about his goal in life, to become an adventurer. He asked around about the poster, who post it, but he receive no answer.Owen was in a impasse, what if this is the moment he always expected, but what is just a trap. He decided to wait, maybe someone else, another adventurer, will read this. That way they could both go to the meeting place.Owen turned around and slowly started walking towards the tavern

Spoiler:
So...what do you guys think? Is it good enough?

"Well," Leowyn started, "I'm mean't to be joining the fighters guild, my Dad wants me to do this. Forcing me to be part of something 'official'. I would prefer this anyway, and I can still get money."

Leowyn walked closer to the poster, "Shall we go together?"

Per had been leaning against a corner close to where the poster was hanging to see if anyone else gave any interest in it. Now that Owen and Leowyn started planning, he emerged from the shadows and went over them.

"Hey, you two! The Dark Elf and Breton over by the poster! Are you planning to go up there? If so, let me join you. This seems like the perfect thing for me, I have been waiting here since I saw the poster."

He reached out his hand.

"I'm Per by the way. Per Penger."

"Honestly, I'm not 100% sure, it's somewhere west of this town."

Leowyn rubbed his head and tried to figure out where it was, "Maybe we should head west, to start."

"And yes, you can come with us," Leowyn said as he noticed Per, "Do you know where this place is?" He asked as he shook his hand.

"I've raided Camp Barren before, but have never seen any camp nearby, though. Anyways, it can't be that hard to find."

"Well, It's probably a new camp." Leowyn stated, "Shall we go now? I'm kind of eager to get away from home. I won't miss it."

"Ok, well, I'm ready to go, just let me run home for a minute."

Leowyn sprinted back towards his house. At the front door he left a note;

"I'm leaving home, hopefully to become an adventurer. I know you wanted me to leave home, so now I am."

Leowyn had a troubled life at home, so leaving would not be a problem for him. He ran back to the poster.

Leowyn followed Per out of Cheydinhal, he would let him lead the way, considering he knew where it was.

Per and his two new partners followed The Blue Road westward, until they reached an intersection. Heading right they found a set of stairs leading up to the entrance to Barren Cave.

"Right, now we just need to find the blasted camp. Which direction was it from here again?", Per asked. His memory was not too good after having consumed far too many bottles of mead.

Kent had been working in the stable when he saw those two strangers leaving, it was unusual for someone to leave during chapel,
curiosity got the best of him as he follows them a bit of ways using his years here as help, he sneaked form tree to tree, once he saw them at a cave thinking them to be cave diving , calls out to them having also seen the poster but not thinking much of it at the time
"You two, why are you here and not in the gods house, is there trouble? " Kent asked eager to prove him self

"As far as I'm concerned there are two of you only" he said looking at the Nord with a stone glare.
"As for you Dark elf I followed you only to feed my curiosity, how often does a Dark elf aligns him self with one of those?" he asked looking back at him
"it is good to see another Breton how ever" looking at the third person slightly nods his head

"Now is this by chance anything to do with the poster?

"I shall join, however, it should be out in the open that I'm not to found of Nords, but for the sake of this poster i shall put that aside and see what this is about with you." Kent said as he stands near the other Breton
