Feather-Tail stirred in his saddle, unsure of whether Tireace referred to the webbed nature of his own feet; he found the notion a bit disparaging, yet neglected to further pursue the details of the meaningless peeve.

"You make decisions with haste," He stated a bit disapprovingly. "Are you so sure that we should free ourselves from this duty intact?"

"believe not the worst for if you do it shall happen" Tireace said with a fools smile "a saying my mother and my mentors drilled into me."

"Hope not for the best unless you have prepared for the very worst," Feather-Tail promptly replied. "Come, you must admit that preparation of a map should be saved for another time."

"preparation is the key to success no matter how small, do and do untill it works and nothing shall make you fall" Tireace said with a widening smile.
Spoiler:

I suppose so.

"You're only supporting what I've said," Feather-Tail replied. "It's of no importance, of course. Let us cease this meaningless competition."

"your views or your superior's views?" Tireace said smiling at Feather-Tail "be honest now."

Feather-Tail suddenly adopted his previous, harsher situation upon his steed's back- Tireace's call for honestly had obviously offended him.

"You mistake my commendable loyalty for blind devotion. The basis for my opinions comes not from my superiors- but from the very soil of Black Marsh itself. From the vines, the grasses- the trees." Feather-Tail began to maneuver his horse from Tireace's vicinity as he continued.

"The fate of the Mer is not for me to decide. Yet it is a decision that, in the best interests of my home, I will uphold faithfully."

Spoiler:
Marukhati armor is basically dark green and silver Nightingale armor, cape and all, but without the hood.

"We're going to go to Orsinium, now." Singer announced. "I sense that the Thalmor Officer known as Aradusk is hunting us, specifically the Ayleids, so we're not going through Cyrodiil, but Hammerfell. Beware... you might see some things you'll wish you hadn't." He said solemnly.

Everyone got on their hoses, Mario was taken on Amos' horse with the bitter Redguard warrior, and they took off.

As they were travelling, Singer started talking. "There is a chance, albeit small, that we'll meet with Thaddeus Antiva in Orsinium. The man is the leader of the Marukhati. I want to stress that if any of you see Antiva, you must kill him. Alec will project his image in your minds right now."

The image of a man flashed in the Chosens' minds. He wore the Marukhati's trademark armor, but his face wasn't visible. It was covered by an ominous looking mask that gave him the appearance of not being very real. His eyes were dark brown, almost black as night. He had short black hair swept behind his head.

A shorter woman was beside him, dressed in similar armor. She was an older woman with silver hair tied back in a ponytail. The woman looked angry and powerful, almost like a buzzing bee. She had two black daggers strapped to her sides.

"The man in the mask if the enigmatic leader of the Marukhati. Beside him is his wife, Sir Joana Antiva. Both highly dangerous individuals that are the masterminds behind the killings." Singer had another word in mind for the killings, but didn't want to farther alarm anybody.

"The killings of what, exactly?" Mario asked. "I've been absent from the public for quite some time now."

"The Elves, Thief." Singer said. "The Marukhati has returned and is starting a genocide against the Elves."

"It is pronounced rogue...not thief." Mario corrected. "Yes, I do technically commit theft, but I am not a thief. I am a rogue."

Singer shook his head and continued riding. The Chosen, and Singer's adventurers, crossed the border into Hammerfell. They had to go around the border guard, because they weren't allowing any Elves to enter... or leave.

Singer lead the group along the border to Cyrodiil, just out of reach of Thalmor hands. While they were travelling, they saw many Elves fleeing the country. Many more were wounded.

The group stopped when several High Elves blocked their path in a thick forest. Not Thalmor; but citizens of Hammerfell that were trying to escape the country. All of them were covered in sweat and blood, and some looked dead.

An Altmer woman, looking no older than thirty, approached the Chosen.

"Please... you must help me." She said shakily. "They... invaded my village. Slaughtered at least twenty people before we konw what was happening. The army of Hammerfell has been reduced to performing genocide on it's own citizens..." She shivered. "We're all that's left. You have to take us across the border! I don't know -"

At least ten Altmer in black robes rid into the scene on horseback. At the front was Commander Aradusk of Valenwood.

"Stop right there." He said, pointing in the Chosen Ones' direction.

"No!" The Altmer woman who had approached the Chosen cried, and cowered with her fellow High Elves.

Aradusk and his men attacked the refugees without hesitating, shocking most of them to death with magic.

Spoiler:
Damn you Matt, posting at such inconvenient times! :P There goes that post:

Quote:
Aramith drunk in the sight of the Marukhati leader, a mixture of emotions bubbling within him both great grief and terrible anger and rage.

"And why is Aradusk our enemy?" he asked Singer, "is there something you aren't telling us?"

Aramith drunk in the sight of the Marukhati leader, a mixture of emotions bubbling within him both great grief and terrible anger and rage.

At the sight of the Altmer, his heart skipped a beat, but he dared not hope. Then, as the Commander and his men rode into view, Aramith had to hold himself back before he did something foolish. I wonder, he mused, if I can find some way to contact him?

Siaenach made a surprised start backwards, leading to a not-very-graceful tumble off the back of her horse.

"What in blazes?"

Irri drew he bow calmly, drew, and sent a shaft flying for the Altmer commander's throat.

Aramith prepared to knock the arrow off course with a spell, but again, he held back. Besides, he reasoned, Aradusk's wards will protect him.

Instead he turned to the Bosmer. "What are you doing?!" he demanded, "are you trying to get us killed you fool!"

Imma skewer that f*ck.

"Are you blind, Altmer?" Irri asked, her voce sharp and cutting as a razor. "Or do you have a heart! They are slaughtering them!"

"Ouch..." Siaenach said as she got back on her feet. "What the hell's that?" she exclaimed immediately afterwards, making pointing movements at the Thalmor.

"Your hate blinds you," Aramith called, shouting to make himself heard over the comotion, "the Thalmor do not just mindlessly slaughter people, they must have a reason. Besides, what makes you believe they will attack us? If you go shooting arrows at them then they have every reason to put us all to death as well."

Spoiler:
I'm hoping Matt has a good reason mapped out, because I'm not exactly buying meaningless slaughter here :P

Spoiler:
Well, face the facts. The Thalmor have evidently found a reason to go on a genocidal spree. Let's not debate why.

"They'll have a hard time putting us to death when they're dead." Irri remarked, loosing another shaft.
