Spoiler:
Post reserved for a little report on Almalexia I've whipped up - will post soon

Almalexia - Sewers
Deep in the sewers, the party advanced through the darkness, guided only by torchlight.

They turned a bend and suddenly came across a horrific scene, bodies of both Dunmer and Argonians strewn across the sewer floor, surrounding a ladder to the city above.

"What is this madness!" Voryn said, he knelt over one of his fallen comrades and whispered, "cold, this battle was lost long before we arrived."

Nearby, a groan could be heard across the sewer chamber.

Voryn, Edril and Garo crept forward, looking hurriedly for the source of this disturbance, hands on their weapons.

"This one still breathes," Edril called, after several moments of frantic searching, "quickly, fetch a healer and some water!"

A Dunmer hurried over, clasping a satchel of herbs under his arm. Garo leant over the fallen Dunmer and poured a few drops of water from his own water skin into the soldier's dry mouth.

The healer administered a simple poultice to the soldiers, and the colour gradually began to return to his cheeks.

The Dunmer coughed and opened his eyes wide in fear.

"Fear not." Garo said "we have come to free the city. Please tell me if you can, who are you? And what has happened here?"

The Dunmer sat up, leaning on the Orcish warrior for support. "I am Telari," he mumbled, "I was a guard in the Battalion here at Almalexia. The defence of the city was going fairly well, Indoril Ralvalas was holding the Southern Wall from the relentless Argonian attacks. But then, one night the city was breached through the sewers. I was sent with a small troop of men to defend the sewers while more help was gathered, but to no avail, we were quickly overrun and the Argonians streamed into the city above. After that point, I can tell you little more."

"Of course, serjo. I won't tell a soul." Llemetah said, trailing behind the Councillor.

Pilus watched as Grandmaster Duruza and some of his companions run into the still burning building. "Natural fire resistance comes in hand sometimes", he mumbled.

Near Almalexia

Ahkstas still followed the fearfull argonian. "How long till we reach?", he asked angry.

Argonian Encampment
Duruza looked around the burning room, seeing several charred bodies strewn around the entrance way. A few more Argonians were still wheezing and trying to extinguish the flames that had enveloped them, but to little avail. The Dunmer grabbed the nearest lizard and picked him up off the goruns.

Duruza saw that Borashciz had followed him into the building and yelled to the soldier. "Get this one out of the building!" he yelled, barely audible over the roars of the fire, "make sure he is not harmed by the others!"

Near Almalexia
"We are almost there master," the pitiful Argonian spluttered, "I'll take you through the secret entrance into the sewers."

The Dunmer dragged the almost lifeless Argonian out of the barracks and quickly called for more men to help put out the flames licking at the lizard's lower body.

"Then go lead on!", Ahkstas said in a commanding voice. He was near what he had seeked for the last years.

The Orcish Redoran sighs as his fellow Redorans attempt to do whatever they cal to heal the nearly-fallen Indoril soldier. It appears now that the outer-city might be taken; which means this fight will not only cost more troops but it has cost more than enough lives, both soldier and innocence.

"Brother Voryn, we should continue to the outer-city; or at least attempt to get into the inner-city of Mournhold. Perhaps there is where the Great House of Indoril remains to defend.", his shield swayed back and forth as the Orc was trying to assess the situation.

If parts of the outer-city are taken, then this would mean most of the front side of the city is Argonia's. This also means they'd have to drive all Argonian troops out of the outer-city; they could not do this even with their combined forces. The Redoran-Indoril forces would have to fight what they could to get to the Inner-City of Mournhold; to see what defense is left.

Then they may launch counter-attacks and drive the Argonian-invaders out of Almalexia. It seemed the Argonian prisoners, however, were able to tell if the outer-city was taken then they'd hide in some of the buildings to have cover. The benefit of having prisoners...

"Men of Redoran and Indoril, Move out! We move toward the Inner-City of Mournhold. Once we reunite with House Indoril, our offensive can begin upon the Argonian invaders!"

"Wait!" Telari croaked, "there is another way through the sewers, that shall take you into the other side of the city. An area we still hold. The Argonians have only breached parts of the outer city, or at least, that was how it was before I was wounded."

Outside Almalexia
The Argonian led the Sload to a small grate, which he lifted with a grunt, indicating that his new master follow.

"Very well Telari. Lead on, as Redoran and Indoril defend you while blessed ALMSIVI guide you.", the Orc said as his troops and Voryn's troops began to follow the wounded Dunmer.

"I wonder where that Ashlander is? We could use him." Wondered the Dunmer out loud.

"I'm afraid I am far too weak for that," the Dunmer said, "but if you follow the sewers in that direction, you should find a ladder. Pass the first one you see and take a right. Then take the second ladder you come across."

Spoiler:

Pilus watched the burning building. "For now my assistance is of no use here", he thought by himself and walked away.

The battle was for now almost over, it was time to take care of maintance for his equipment. This was something his father has teached him, be carefull to your equipment, it is the difference between life and death. First he cleaned the weapons and armor of the crusted blood and rubbed the armor with normal earth and dust, to give it a "normal" smell of the environment. After this he began to sharpen his blades.

Almalexia

Ahkstas followed the Argonian inside, he had no choice, he doesn't know the area. But he was prepared if this was some kind of trap.

Argonian Encampment - Barracks
Duruza hurried into what appeared to be the Captain of the Argonain Guard's private quarters. He riffled through the desk and stuffed some papers into his shirt, beneath his armour, before running back through the burning room, couching as he went, the flames singing him as he went. As he neared the doorway, he saw another Argonian who had passed out from the smoke, but who was still breathing. The Councilman hoisted the lizardman over his shoulders, leaping through the flames and into the cool night air.

Almalexia - Sewers
Ahkstas and the Argonain walked through the sewers, until they heard noises in the darkness ahead of them. They melted into the shadows, and watched as a troop of soldiers passed by them, torches burning through the blackness.

"Quickly, another healer for this one!" Duruza shouted, "I'm all right, just tend to the Argonians!"

He dropped the Argonian into the waiting Dunmer's arms, under the pressure of it's weight and his own exhaustion, before collapsing onto his knees.

The Orcish commander bowed his head, but still took the trooper along to protect him and fulfill his duty to Morrowind and ALMSIVI. After following the Dunmer's said direction, he arrived at the ladder; and turned to the Dunmer. "So this leads to Inner-Almalexia, serjo? For I wish to reconnect and gain the perspective from the House Indoril leaders that remain. Outer-Almalexia will have to wait to be liberated until we can muster both of our forces", said the Orc as many Redorans went to the ladder but awaited for the order to climb.

He did not want to lose any troops, nor have unnecessary causalities. Both his and Lord Voryn's troops are not enough to take on a full-invasion force. But with the Mainland Indoril troops in Almalexia would be enough to push back the Argonian forces if they were quick enough.

This also means to be careful in terms of entering and exiting combat. Redoran tactics told this, as did Tribunal moral laws.

Pilus just completed the cleaning of all of his equipment. He could see the daedric preacher Llemetha in the corner of his eyes. The Imperial stood up and walked towards the daedra follower, he approached from behind and looked at the ritual that was currently performed.
