"No, no, no!" Mario protested. "Those are idiotic and barbaric ways to die! Here's something humorous - cut off one of my hands and force me to shake it with my other. Or slice off my arms and force me to climb a tree. Be creative. Do not be so bloody boring."

"The waterfall one was nice. Took weeks before the bones washed away in the river."

She paused for a second.

"Golly. I'm a bit more Forsworn that I like to think."

"No waterfalls here in Hammerfell..." Irri said regretfully. "But I do have a bit of war paint if you want some. Hope you like blue."

"Do not mock death!" Malatar roared from the background.

Malatar brutally shoved Irri to the ground with his left hand, unsheathing his beautiful Elven longsword with his right and kicking Mario to the ground as well. He held the deadly blade to the Imperial's throat. "Nedic..."

"Oi!" Siaenach yelled, swinging free her own sword (Or spiky stick, as was more accurate).

"You stop right there, goldilocks. I don't care if there's only you and the crybaby left, I'll gut you if you spoil my fun!"

"Arrogant [&@%!]!" Irri squeaked indignantly, kicking Malatar's feet out from under him.

Siaenach walked towards the Ayleid.

"Now, no matter what you think, we are no less valuable than you. I am almost Breton. Your kinds' slavery is what reated my race. So don't get your ideas. We were around when you locked yourself up. Don't act like we're young pipsqueaks who aren't worthy of licking your boots."

Malatar knocked Siaenach's blade away with his own, springing to his feet. "It must be remembered that it was our people - our clan who did not force the Nedic into slavery. Yet the bloody humans hunted us down regardless. Selara and I are innocent of the crimes commited by our race during ancient times. And yet we are still criticized. Have you forgetten the genocide of Ayleids that followed Alessia's revolt? Perhaps...But you toy with this thief and mock death as though it is a mere joke. Spare him, or kill him."

Irri laughed. "You deal with him, then!" She glanced at Mario. "Good luck! She said fleetingly, walking away.

"why so s- oh yea your clan got killed sorry" tireace said "but this does not warrant a attack from you. This thief is ours to deal with and ours alone now ok ayleid? What is your name I feel like I'm ignorant when I call you ayleid."

"I am called Malatar - the high wood." Malatar replied. "And I do believe that we have the right to 'deal with' this thief as well. Are Selara and I not members of this group?"

Malatar sheathed his blade, approached Mario, and grabbed him by the collar. "This world has seen enough death." he mumbled, tossing the Imperial into the thicket. "Allow him to leave."

Feather-Tail wandered near to those assembled around the incompetent newcomer, standing firmly, with arms folded, to one side of the seemingly undecided group. He dared not foolishly intervene, already wary of the possibility that one of the others should challenge him in retaliation for his unmerciful defeat of the Dunmer.

Spoiler:
...what the hell was that.

Sebastien, having watched the scene from the edge of the camp, could not help but bury his cheek in his palm, feeling as exhausted as if he had not gotten any sleep. "Gods give me strength," the Breton murmured, now that he was certain that this group would be the death of him - a slow, painful, merciless death that he was not prepared to face, now or ever. He passed by the group without paying them any attention, but in a mocking tone that indicated he did not think himself lucky enough for an answer, he mused, "How ever will we defeat the Marukhati, oh wise prophet of Azura, when we would so easily defeat each other?"

"Have you perhaps given a thought to the fact that maybe acting like we aren't beneath you would give your story much bigger credibility, Ayleid?" Siaenach said, casually swinging her sword back up again. "Your attitude certainly isn't going to help you."

Aramith continued to watch the group, still turning things over in his mind.

It seems I have not yet attained mastery of my gift, he thought, in time, I shall have to learn, lest I fail once more. He continued to berate himself for his failure for several minutes, before abandoning his solitude and strolling over to inspect the newcomer.

Friend or foe, potential ally or asset, he had to make an assessment of the man, but subtly. He had to assess them all, he realised. I've been here such a short time, I really should make an effort, to be ... friendly. He grimaced, before letting out a slight chuckle.

The Breton seems to be the most likeable of the lot, he mused, the Bosmer and the Dunmer, perhaps they are potential allies. The Reachman, well my kind have aided their kind in the past, and perhaps there too lies an ally. But the Argonian needs watching. And then, there's still the matter of the Wild Ones.

Oh why did I have to be the one to investigate their reappearance?!

J'Dar became frightened. He didn't know who was who. He went back to his tent and just layed their, motionless, but not sleeping, his tail the only movement.
