Aramith projected his concious towards Aradusk, a somewhat desperate action he was aware, but one he deemed necessary, even if it left him open to attack.

He focused on the image of Thaddeus Antiva, an image that brought a mixture of rage and grief to his heart, then, Nothing personal, but I have to do this. I cannot let you get away without a fight

Then, he raised both hands and fired a Firebolt at the Commander.

Spoiler:
Bet you were not expecting that :P

Irri had gotten caught in close quarters combat, and was rather desperately hacking at a Thalmor soldier with her axe. "Die... Altmer... Bugger!" She grunted. She hooked the bearded axe head over the brim of the shield, trying to tear it away.

The Chosen had all but killed the Thalmor. Aramith's fireball hit Aradusk and then exploded. When the fire cleared, Aradusk was gone.

Singer was watching Aramith with a disapproving look in his eye.

Aramith returned to the group, a look of irritation on his face. "We were lucky that we were able to deal with them all, this time," he said, glaring at Irriwen, "but what would have happened if one of them escaped?! We would shoot straight to the top of the Thalmor's 'most wanted'. Exercise a bit more thought before you act in future, because who knows who else we might face, and who knows when our luck will run out."

He sat down, fatigue setting in, although it was not as severe as he made out, "not only have I watched my kinsmen slaughtered here today, I have been forced by your foolery to strike against them as well. As if the Marukhati threat was not enough playing upon my nerves."

"You say we should have sat? And watched as those innocent Elves were slaughtered?" Irri retorted. "You say you were not Thalmor, yet even when they slaughter your unarmed countrymen, you take their side! Liar! Traitor!" She accused, scowling viciously. "And heartless [&@%!]!"

A High Elf woman - the same who had approached the Chosen - coughed weakly from the pile of dead refugees.

Irri shot Aramith a dirty look, and kneeled down beside the woman. "You're hurt..." She observed idly.

"I was forced to attack a fellow Altmer, and you say I would have sat idly? I killed a Thalmor Commander! Do you know what this means for me? I could be killed if I set foot in Alinor again! The sight of my kinsmen being killed was more wrenching than you could ever imagine, but the killing of even more of my kin does not make things better, IT MAKES THEM WORSE! Thanks to your actions, we have no idea what the Thalmor were doing here. Maybe they had reason to kill those people, maybe they would have helped us. Next time, put down your bow for a moment and use your brain!"

Then, he drew a scroll and a potion from his satchel. "Out of the way," he spat gruffly, "let me see to her."

"Hordes of armed soldiers murdering unarmed refugees. I doubt a single one would be left alive by the time your diplomacy was done. And now you try to help her." Irri laughed derisively. "The irony almost hurts, Altmer." She began searching through the corpses for any other survivors.

"Get out of my sight," Aramith said, his voice once again devoid of emotion, "how dare you lecture me. How dare you! Because of your actions all our lives are at stake once more. Now not only do we need to deal with the Marukhati, we need to fend off the Thalmor. You seem to relish the chance to fight so intensely that you find and take every opportunity to put lives at stake and to make enemies you can't afford to make. Maybe if you were alone things would be different, and it would not matter, but you have all of us to think of, all of us are tied to your stupidity!"

He popped the cork on the bottle and knelt beside the woman, "this should take away the pain," he said, "if you don't mind telling me, who are you?"

Irri spat on the ground. "Hypocrite." She muttered, continuing to look for survivors.

"I didn't put any of our lives in danger, can you say the same?" Aramith sneered, not looking up from the wounded Altmer that lay before him, "we're a group now, and we need to start acting like one, whether we like the fact or not, we're stuck with each other."

"Don't even think about it," Aramith snapped, "you have no right to command me about, she is well looked after in my care and I shall not move."

"considering you two are squabbling like little children, I do have the right to command you, if you wanna be treated like a grown up, YOU need to act like a grown up!" Tireace said with a glare.

"You do not have any such right," Aramith retorted, "none of you do. It's fine for you to issue commands and act all high and mighty, your life has not just placed in jeopardy, twice. Not only are the Marukhati after me and my people, now the Thalmor has reason to hunt me as well, and it is all thanks to that fool over there. I have every right to be fearful, I have every right to be angry and I have every right to act in whatever manner I wish because it is not often that one is placed in such circumstances."

"...pfft, fine you deal with her. but remember this Altmer, Will you ever just sit and think?" Tireace said then she stalked off to try out her spell again.

Aramith looked at Tireace as she went, then begun to speak, words so faint they were almost a contemplative whisper, "I should not expect you to understand, but in turn I should not have expected you to accept my behaviour. I know where I have gone wrong, but at this moment I am filled with rage, with anger, filled with grief," Aramith chocked, as he fought off tears, "and a terrible sadness greater than any I have ever felt before. But most of all, I am afraid, I am scarred and I have succumbed to fear greater than any you could imagine. Fear not just for my own life, but for my peoples, for Mer, and that if the Marukhati are not stopped, then we will all be naught, just a spec in history. The end of the Great Mer, I fear it, and more I fear that if the Thalmor cannot be the pillar of hope that they have been, if what the Reachman and the Bosmer claim is true, then there is no hope for Mer, there is no hope for me. And to be forced to fight them, the only possible saviours of my kind, it is worse than the thought of death itself. I need to believe in the Thalmor, because they are my only remaining hope."

"You're blind." Irri muttered. "If you are capable, stop talking." She said, standing up to walk away. She approached Siaenach. "Are you okay, beautiful?"

Boo hoo. Aramith is like a German who doesn't necessarily agree with the Nazi ideals, but plays along anyways because he thinks that, because the Nazis have the highest chance of making Germany great.
