I'm planning to send PM's to other players in the form of sensitive messages (Keeps the prying eyes away). Would you like to receive a copy of them, Duruza?

Spoiler:
Username: AtoM
Character Name: Arelan Indaren
Race: (I may allow a non-Nord or two, but I'm expecting they'll mostly be Nordic) Dunmer. Fits, since there is the Gray Quarter, located in Eastmarch.
Gender: Male
Age: 34
Description: (personality and optional physical description) Willing to show humility at times, the setting of Morrowind has made him willing to be brutal. Strong and agile, loyal and empathetic. Bold, sometimes, but arrogant. Rebellious, and stubborn.
Background: He was born in Windhelm. When the current Jarl was killed, a Dunmer rose to the throne. Arelan began doing things for the city and began to be successful. He was appointed Thane after saving the Jarl from a bear attack. At 25, the Jarl was assassinated by a group of rebels, and Arelan rose to the throne, as the previous Jarl had not married yet. He was a friend of the deceased Dunmer Jarl, and loves Dunmer very much.
Other Information:
Colour: (for the purposes of the map) Er.. Orange. Does this work? (Eastmarch)

Why the hell have the majority of the Jarls ascended to the throne through the death of a friend, rather through blood? The previous Jarls must all be some chaste buggers to leave no heirs.

Well, I guess my previous Jarl was *erghm* infertile, so even though he was married he failed over and over again to create an heir.

I've got barbarians, so we'll call it tribal succession crisis.

My Jarl lead a coup against evil wizards.

Real answer: It's because of the overwhelming fear of being the bad guy. In a war RP, nobody goes to war.

Not specifically. I can see a lot of cons that come along with going to war, but it's very boring to just sit there and do nothing while the roleplay is war roleplay.

I'm not afraid of being the "bad guy".

Rosteir was a member of the royal family. She caused the "disappearance" of her older half-brother, and she hides quite the secret from the public.

Well, Torrhen Bloodcrown is rather agreeably disposed to war, himself.

I have several diplomatic situations in mind. In fact, I'm going to put four of you in the spotlight as soon as the game starts. I wonder who will accept my proposals...

Just on assassins and spies, I've thought about how I would implement it, you can give an order to use one when you send in your other orders, and I will roll a series of dies to determine how successful the assassin/spy was, whether they managed to escape and whether they were compromised, potentially revealing who sent them (as I mentioned earlier), however, I'd like to have a limit so some input as to where you guys think the limit on spies and assassins should be would be nice.

I'd say one spy per round and one assassin every four rounds.

Also: Why's there no high King?

Apparently, the old king was infertile. That seems to be the trend these days...

I'll work on an intro post that will explain all that side of things, but the gist of it is, he's dead and the Jarls are fighting over the Throne. The Moot is ineffective, what can I say? :P

Well, with one (or is it two?) Dunmer and a Reachman, it's bound to be interesting. I'd love to see the summary of that moot.
