I play it sometimes. My last save disappeared after I broke my computer, and I just haven't got around to downloading it again.
Might do that sometime soon, though.

I have been really enjoying it. Haven't played it since 1994-95-96. But glad I have given it another go. Plenty of fond memeories.

I don't really have any old memories with it, because the first time I played it was sometime last year.
Think I managed to find 3 parts of that staff or something, but never got any farther than that.

I just started playing it a few days ago...I only just escaped from prison tho because I explored the entire dungeon before leaving :) (that and I haven't spent a lot of time playing obviously)

Come on. It's not that hard anymore. I have been hacking away at it now for a while; I'm doing miles better than I remember when I first played it. That said, I have a far better understanding of TES now than I did back then. I do remember Arena being rather difficult, but now it's a breeze, a lot of resting early on. Once you advance and get some better armour, mines all Mithril now. Would be Adamantium, but I don't like the colour, and it's one going to give me an extra -1 to my armour rating, so I can live with that. Ebony is way to freaking expensive at my current level. So I will continue questing until I rack up some serious bank.

I have it, yet I don't play it. I prefer my old space-ship games to Arena.

I remember desperately trying to upgrade my PC so I could play Arena when it came out. A friend had it on a decent computer but I just couldn't handle it on my ol' 386. :D

When I finally did get it upgraded, I was friggin' thrilled. I remember the first time I could walk through a town and move side to side without getting bogged down by 5 FPS!

Memories....

Yeah our family computer was below standard. Truth is, the only reason I found it was because I was staying at my Grandparents place on school holidays. My uncle had just finished his uni degree in IT and was still living at home. There is a huge age gap between him and his siblings; he was born when his parents, my grandparents were in their early 50's. So he is closer to my age than his brothers and sisters. Anyway, he was heading out for the night and quickly showed me a game on his comp called 'Arena'. Once I started playing, I was completely hooked. I remember for the rest of the holidays I was up in his room playing. My uncle was hardly home, holiday time, I still remember how freaked out my Grandparents would get when I'd play on his computer. Thinking you needed a degree in IT to turn it on and play. hahaha... love it. Even when we were younger and played on his Atari (the first Atari, the boxy one) having to flick one switch over from the TV Ariel to the Atari, and that would freak them out.
"Just don't break the TV or your uncle's game machine"
"Yeeees Grandma"
I forget what my point was.....

OK... so I am a god in this game now. I noticed an artifact issue, if it's a glitch or not I'm not sure..
Spoiler:
you're able to get the Oghma Infinium over and over and over. Once you finish the quest and acquire the tome, you can head back to town and keep asking town folk until you get the option to quest for it again. Doing this 4-5 times you end up with full stats around level 10. It makes future questing easier, obviously, but better yet you don't have to worry about finding armour in stores to help boost stats. Making getting a matching full suite of armour much easier also. I will start the main quest soon. Maybe....

I started a while ago, but let it slip away. I should probably get on it again.

It's a completely different experience from Oblivion and Morrowind.

So I've heard, apparently it has a random generated cell component, meaning no two cells are alike. Any truth to that?

The cities are big and I think that the many many taverns do look alike. The quests are less fun than Oblivion because there is a lot of go from A to B to deliver something or escort someone. And rumours send you all over the huge cities to different taverns that as I said do look the same to attain more walking quests. But the skill system is very interesting, and a lot bigger (fits a bigger world I guess :P). It is worth a visit if you can manage it.

I'll see if I can scam a copy of XP from my brother. He gets all this IT crap from his uni, so hes bound to have a copy somewhere in that bombshell of a flat.
